Consider what your needs are. Chevy's Tahoe Hybrid has a V8 engine, and when we say big, we mean BIG! Its twice as expensive as some other smaller hybrids that deliver twice the gas mileage. But if the Tahoe Hybrid meets your requirements, it does deliver twice the mileage of other beefy non-hybrid SUVs.  

The dramatic Chevrolet Malibu’s (24-32 mpg / $22,140) redesign for 2008 has garnered plenty of attention, bringing the General Motors product out of the shadows of a previously dull design.
